About the circuit
Cadwell Park is a British racing circuit in Lincolnshire in eastern England, about 8 km south of the town of Louth in the scenic Lincolnshire Wolds. The track was established in 1934 by Mansfield Wilkinson of Louth on the grounds of a former country estate. The 3,540 m track has 18 corners and runs across a steep-sided valley with dramatic dips and crests, the most famous being "The Mountain" — a steep climb with a blind crest that frequently launches motorcycles into the air. Its challenging nature has earned the circuit the nickname "Mini-Nürburgring". Owing to its narrow width, the track no longer hosts top-level car racing; the headline event is the annual August round of the British Superbike Championship. The venue is owned and operated by Jonathan Palmer's MotorSport Vision group. It also hosts the Vintage Sports-Car Club Festival, the Wolds Trophy, club car racing and track days.
