FOR COACHES

Questions about joining as a coach, payments, and coaching content.

How do I join Lapvio as a coach?

Create a free Lapvio account, then apply from the coaching area of your dashboard. The application asks for your background, the trackdays and circuits you've coached at, your insurance situation, and references where applicable. We review applications individually. Typical turnaround is one to two weeks. We're selective at this stage to keep quality high; not every applicant is approved, and that's deliberate.

Do I need to be qualified by anyone?

Lapvio doesn't require a specific certifying body, and trackday coaching standards vary across countries. What we look for is demonstrable trackday coaching experience: events you've coached at, drivers who'll vouch for you, and a clear understanding of what you offer. Specific national qualifications (where they exist, like ARDS in the UK) are a positive signal but not strictly required.

What insurance do I need?

Professional liability insurance covering coaching activity is your responsibility. Specifics depend on your home country and the circuits you coach at. Some circuits require specific coverage from instructors operating on their property. Lapvio doesn't provide insurance. Most established coaches already have appropriate cover; if you're new to professional coaching, talk to a motorsport-specialized broker before accepting bookings.

How does coaching booking work? Can I sell standalone or only at organizer events?

Both. You decide which formats you offer:

You can offer your services at specific organizer events on Lapvio. Drivers attending that event can add a coaching session at checkout. You join them for that event.

You can also offer your services independently. Drivers book you directly for any trackday, including events not on Lapvio. You set your availability per circuit and per date.

You can do both at once. Many coaches will.

Who manages my schedule?

You do. Your profile has a calendar where you set availability: which circuits you coach at, which dates you're free, how many sessions per day you can take. Drivers book against your published availability, and you can block dates anytime. You're in control.

Where do I manage everything?

After approval you get your own instructor workspace. From there you set your availability and circuits, manage your bookings, build your public profile (bio, photos and media, your FAQ, reviews), and handle payouts through your connected Stripe account. Your dashboard shows the essentials at a glance: upcoming sessions, recent earnings, and a quick box to post an update.

What if a driver doesn't show up?

Your cancellation and no-show policy is set on your profile and shown to drivers at checkout. Common policies are full refund up to seven days before, fifty percent up to forty-eight hours, no refund inside forty-eight hours, but this is your call. Lapvio enforces what you've published. If a no-show happens, you keep the agreed portion of the booking under your published policy.

Can I coach drivers I have an existing relationship with through Lapvio?

Yes. Lapvio is your booking infrastructure even for existing clients. You can send them a direct booking link, they pay through Lapvio, you keep the relationship. The platform fee applies to bookings made through Lapvio regardless of how the driver found you.

Can I post updates and stay in front of drivers?

Yes, this is new. Your profile has a timeline. Post a short update with a photo: a session recap, a new content drop, which circuits you'll be at next. Posts show on your public profile and in the feed of drivers who follow you, so they keep you visible to past clients between bookings. You post straight from your dashboard. There's no approval queue.

Can I add my own FAQ to my profile?

Yes. Separate from this help page, your profile has its own FAQ that you write: pricing, what a session looks like, what to bring, anything drivers keep asking. Write it in any of Czech, English, or German and each driver sees it in their language. It's self-published, no approval needed, and it sits right where drivers are deciding whether to book.

Can I show reviews on my profile?

Yes. Connect your Google Business profile in your workspace and your Google rating and reviews sync onto your Lapvio profile and your search card automatically, so you arrive with credibility instead of starting from zero. You manage those reviews on Google; Lapvio just displays them.

What's the platform fee?

Lapvio takes a single platform fee on every transaction: coaching sessions and content sales alike, with no hidden tiers. The standard fee is 15%, though it can vary case by case. Your exact rate, and the fee on every booking, are always shown in your dashboard: each earnings line breaks down the total, the Lapvio fee, and your net. If we ever change your rate, we'll give you sixty days' notice with an option to opt out at the time of change.

How and when do I get paid?

Payments flow directly through Stripe Connect into your bank account. When a driver pays you, Stripe deducts the platform fee, payment processing fees, and any applicable tax, then deposits the remainder on your standard Stripe payout schedule (typically two to seven days depending on your country). You manage your Stripe account and payout settings independently. Lapvio doesn't hold your funds.

Who's the seller of record?

You are. When a driver pays for a session or buys content, you are the legal seller. Receipts identify you (your business name, your VAT registration). Tax obligations are yours. Refunds are negotiated between you and the driver. Lapvio is the booking infrastructure and payment facilitator, not the seller, same as any marketplace operating under the EU Digital Services Act.

What is coaching content?

Coaching content is digital material you upload and sell on Lapvio: video lessons, written guides, structured courses, telemetry analysis tutorials, anything you've created and want to monetize. Drivers buy it once and keep access. Coaching content lets you earn from your expertise without being on track every weekend.

What's the fourteen-day withdrawal right thing?

Under EU consumer law, drivers buying digital content normally have fourteen days to withdraw and get a refund. For coaching content this would be a problem. Drivers could buy a course, watch it, and refund it.

The legal solution is what's called an explicit waiver: at checkout, the driver actively confirms that they want immediate access and that by accessing the content they waive the fourteen-day withdrawal right. This is a required EU mechanism, not a Lapvio invention. We've built it into the checkout flow with the precise language required.

The practical effect: as soon as a driver starts watching or downloading your content, the withdrawal right is gone and the sale is final. If they bought but never accessed the content, they retain the withdrawal right and can refund within fourteen days.

Can I sell my coaching content elsewhere too?

Yes. Lapvio is non-exclusive. Your content is yours. You can sell it on your own site, on YouTube, on Patreon, anywhere else. We don't lock you in.

What languages can I coach in?

Your profile lists the languages you coach in, separately from your profile's display language. Drivers can filter by language when searching for a coach. There's no Lapvio-imposed restriction. If you coach in five languages, list five. The product itself is currently available in Czech, English, and German, with more languages in development.

How do I get started?

First, create your driver account on Lapvio. It's free and takes a minute. Then open the coaching area in your dashboard and apply: a few details about your experience, the countries and circuits you coach at, links or references, and agreeing to the coach terms. The application takes about ten minutes. Once approved, your instructor workspace unlocks and you set up your profile, availability, sessions, content, posts and FAQ yourself. Most coaches go from approval to first booking within a week.
