About the circuit
Anglesey Circuit, known in Welsh as Trac Môn, is a racing circuit on the west coast of the Isle of Anglesey in north Wales. Originally opened in 1997, the venue was substantially redeveloped in 2006 into a layout offering four configurations, the longest being the 3,380 m International GP circuit with 10 corners. The track is 12 m wide and renowned for its undulating terrain, imaginative cambers and a 10% banked corner. Notable sections include the Corkscrew, inspired by its namesake at Laguna Seca, and a straight named in honour of Tom Pryce, the only Welsh Formula 1 driver. The circuit hosts club racing, track days and was for many years the home of the "Shoot Out" segment on TV show Fifth Gear.
Spectacular setting overlooking the Irish Sea with the Snowdonia mountains beyond; the layout features a downhill Corkscrew section and a 10% banked corner.
