About the circuit

Slovakia Ring, officially Automotodróm Slovakia Ring, is Slovakia's first permanent international racing circuit, located in the village of Orechová Potôň in the Dunajská Streda district about 30 km southeast of Bratislava. The track was built between 2008 and 2009 to a design by Austrian architect Hans Roth and opened on 1 October 2009. The main circuit is 5,922 m long, 12–20 m wide (up to 22 m on the main straight), and has 14 corners. The main straight is 900 m long. A signature feature is four artificial crests that cause cars to become airborne — the most prominent, between Turns 2 and 3, was rebuilt in 2014. The circuit holds FIA Grade 2 homologation (with a chicane added at Turn 9 in 2018) and a FIM licence. It has hosted the FIA WTCC/WTCR Race of Slovakia (2012, 2013, 2018, 2019), the FIA GT1 World Championship, the Blancpain GT Sprint Series, the FIA European Truck Racing Championship (from 2017) and others. The complex also includes a karting centre, off-road track and Centre of Safe Driving.

A prominent "hump" between Turns 2 and 3 — a climbing and descending crest that famously lifts cars' front wheels off the ground; one of Europe's longest permanent racing circuits.
