About the circuit
About the circuit
Circuit Meppen, formerly known as Racepark Meppen, is a racing circuit in Lower Saxony, Germany, opened in 2016. The track is built on the grounds of the former Meppen-Hüntel power station and is overlooked by the giant cooling tower that bears the world's largest painted world map on its façade (132 m tall). The circuit is approximately 2.4 km long with 12 corners — a mix of fast and slow sections, slaloms, and three banked corners including one with an 18° angle. The complex also includes two oval tracks (1 km and 400 m), one of Europe's longest karting circuits, an off-road section and a quad track. The circuit is used mainly for track days, corporate events, testing and training, and hosts few races. It can be driven in both directions.
Industrial backdrop of a former coal-fired power station with its enormous cooling tower as the centrepiece; three banked corners including one with an 18° incline.
